Project Estimator / Manager

Compensation: Salary Position

  • Perform takeoffs using glass and glazing information on prints and specifications.
  • Create budgets for projects by getting quotes on materials and figuring labor cost.
  • Prepare proposals for customers looking for pricing on new glass and glazing projects and remodel work.
  • Review contracts and contract documents after work is awarded.
  • Review budgets to make sure everything is covered before contracts are signed.
  • Order materials for multiple projects, on time to maintain schedules set by all General Contractor's.
  • Maintain a change order log and keep up with budgets for several projects at the same time.
  • Have good communication skills with lead men on projects that are ongoing to see how project is progressing and to see what materials may be needed.
  • Have customer service skills along with the ability to handle all customers in a professional manner whether they may be right or wrong.
  • Answer phone calls for service work, price work accordingly and schedule work on a daily basis.
  • Address walk in customers that periodically come through the door.
  • Be able to multi task all functions above in a moment's notice.
  • Knowledge of commercial glazing, new construction glazing, and commercial service work will be required to perform these task.
  • General construction knowledge is a plus.

Must be skilled in: Excel, Word, Outlook, & reading blueprints. Knowledge in Vista Vision and V6 a plus.

Glazier w/ commercial experience

Cyrex Glass and Mirror is seeking motivated lead men and glaziers for commercial glazing installation, fabrication, and commercial service work.

All Individuals seeking employment with Cyrex Glass must be responsible, dependable and must have a clean driving record and valid drivers license.

Lead men must have a minimum of 10 years' experience, reliable transportation, have all tools needed to perform work.

  • Must be able to speak, read and write English legibly.
  • Be able to read and decipher blue prints.
  • Communicate with superintendents.
  • Run 2 to 4 man crews, direct safety meetings on job sites, and be very proficient at completing all paper work.

Lead men wages with at least 10 years of experience start at 19 to 24 per hour. Glazers must have a minimum of 5 years' experience.

  • Have reliable transportation.
  • Have all the tools required to perform work. 
  • Be able to take direction.Be able to communicate with lead men.
  • Have basic safety knowledge, and be proficient at doing things right the first time.

Glazer wages with at least 5 years of experience start at 15 to 17 per hour.

Glazier helper training position is also available.

  • General construction knowledge is a plus.
  • Must have an interest in this type of work, a desire to learn new skills and follow instruction and directions.
  • Helpers start at 10 to 14 per hour.
